A former employee of a hotel on Islay was fined after sending an obscene selfie to his manager and shouting aggressively at his partner.
Daniel Anderson, now of Ythanbank, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, admitted the offences which happened at the hotel between May 1 and 31, and November 16 last year.
Procurator fiscal depute Raeesa Ahmed said that Anderson, 41, had been drinking in the premises after finishing his shift when he was told by his manager to stop as he had an early breakfast shift the next day. He then sent the obscene photograph to her via the hotel staff’s WhatsApp group.
Anderson worked for the business on more than one occasion, the court was told, and the November incident happened when his contract was terminated. He was heard shouting at his partner, telling her she had to leave with him and the police were called.
Defence agent Derek Buchanan said the incidents arose out of a clash of personalities.
Sheriff Euan Cameron said: “Not every clash of personalities ends with someone sending a picture of their genitals."
Mr Buchanan also said that Anderson was still in a relationship with his partner.
Anderson was also ordered to pay a total of £40 in victim surcharges and fined £650.
