Service and sacrifice honoured on Remembrance Sunday

In suitably gloomy and overcast weather, Arran residents turned out in numbers to pay their respects in the national day of remembrance on the second Sunday in November, the Sunday closest to November 11, which is the anniversary of the end of World War one in 1918.

Pipers play for peace and remembrance

Following a tradition started in 2018, marking 100 years since the end of the Great War, the pipers played in remembrance of lost pipers, as well as the many others, who sacrificed their lives in the war.
