Mr Greene said: ‘It is extremely disappointing that the ferry will now be delayed past the revised June 2019 timetable as passengers will have to endure further months of delays and cancellations.’
‘The SNP have quite simply let the Arran community down and it is a shameful admission that they still have no idea when the new ferry will be in action.’
There have been suggestions that work on the ferry may have to be completed elsewhere but these were dismissed this week by CMAL.
