MV Caledonian Isles makes a welcome return

The twice-delayed ferry was expected to finally return to service on Monday this week following a sea trial the day before, but due to the engine fault repair and subsequent sea trial it was Tuesday afternoon before the vessel returned to service.

Replacement boat for Arran

The essential lifeline ferry service to Arran was being operated by the MV Hebridean Isles as we went to press after the MV Caledonian Isles broke down.

Essential ferry maintenance delayed

Essential maintenance which was scheduled to take place on MV Caledonian Isles has had to be delayed after the backup vessel, MV Isle of Arran, was redeployed on the Oban/Castlebay route due to cracks being discovered on its regular ferry.
