The culmination of just four days of classes at this year’s annual Gaelic celebration known as Féis Arainn resulted in a magnificent demonstration of the newly-acquired skills by the children who attended the festival and performed in the final concert.

All the fun of the Fèis

Pupils and tutors show their excitement at the start of this year’s Fèis Arainn which has been running over four days this week. The youngsters enjoyed tuition in singing, drama, art, drums, fiddle and Gaelic and, for the first time, shinty.

Fèis Arainn is absolutely delighted that one of their team, Alistair Paul, is now a published Gaelic author with his new book Linne Dhomhain (Deep Pool) from Luath Press which was awarded the prize as best unpublished manuscript in the Gaelic Literature Awards 2020.

Education Scotland’s draft Gaelic language plan for 2020-2025 is now available for public consultation. The draft plan will remain open for comment from until November 29, 2020.
