A total of 12 adults and two children from Beach Buddies Isle of Arran conducted a clean sweep of Lochranza during their beach clean last week.
A group of 11 adults and two children, members of the Beach Buddies group, removed a total of 60 kg of rubbish and 108 kg of logs and wood from Invercloy beach.
Armed with litter pickers, bright tabards and refuse bags, the group cleaned the length of the beach from the Boathouse all the way along Fisherman’s Walk to the pathway across the golf course.
The Isle of Arran and the Isle of Man have joined forces to tackle the issue of marine litter and beach cleaning with the announcement of the creation of Isle of Arran Beach Buddies.
