Mainland runners wanted for first forest trail race

Taking place on Sunday April 24, the Ormidale 10k run is organised by Arran Runners and licensed by Scottish Athletics.
The final trail race in a trio of three new forest trails organised by Arran Runners will take place on Sunday at Whiting Bay.
Arran running were in Saltcoats last weekend for the return of the North Ayrshire Athletics Club festival of running events.
The second in the trilogy of Arran Runners events the Lamlash Trail Race was held on Sunday August 29 with 19 runners, and a dog, taking on a very challenging six mile course running around an easterly route encompassing Glenkiln Farm and the forestry trails above.
Entries are now open for a second 10k race being held on Arran next month.
The first official 1ok race to be held on Arran for more than two years is to be held next month.
