A last call has been made for visitors to prepare for the Arran Open Studios 2021 event which opens a week today.
With many of Arran’s other large events cancelled this year, the organisers of the annual Arran Open Studios (AOS) were more determined than ever to ensure that their event could go ahead with all of the necessary precautions in place.
Arran Open Studios organisers have indicated that they have every intention of celebrating the 10th anniversary of hosting their annual art studio visiting event later this year, however, a final decision will not be made next month.
Of the eleven biscuit tins distributed across the island, dozens of postcards were returned to the AOS organisers. There were poems, drawings, paintings, jokes and little thoughts for the day.
Arran Open Studios biscuit tin initiative is returning for 2019. A total of 18 Paterson of Arran biscuit tins are located across the island, in coffee shops, tea-rooms, hotels and the library.
The slightly earlier date for the diary are Friday 2 to Monday 5 August inclusive.
Organisers were once again delighted with the public response to this quirky arty idea and look forward to it continuing and growing next year.
