Isla McKinnon of the Arran Junior Triathlon Club (AJTC) has earned herself a podium finish in her first ever triathlon at the Scottish National Youth Championships.
The event raises funds for the club which enables free membership for all of the juniors to take part in free swimming, cycling, running and coaching sessions which are open to all.
Taking place at the Arran Outdoor Centre in Lamlash, the festival will begin on the weekend starting on Saturday June 1.
Successful in their bids and receiving £800 each were: Arran High School Mountain Bike Club, Arran High School of Sport, Arran Junior Triathlon Club, Arran Kayak Club and Arran Youth Foundations.
Hard work and persistence has paid off for Arran’s junior triathletes who have ensured that the Arran Junior Triathlon Club is recognised on a national level with several podium places achieved during the last few months at national competitions.
