Fort William Football Club players Kit Fletcher (Fletch) and Martin (Marty) Munro have been selected in the North Caledonian League Team of the Season.
Goalkeeper Fletcher was previously named the club’s Player’s Player of the Year at the side’s away night and midfield maestro Munro was also crowned top goal scorer for the outfit, having bagged 14 strikes this term.
The North Caledonian FA Team of the Season is voted for by all clubs in the association.
Fletch said of the award: “Fort William brought me up there, saved my life and got me away from the sticks. The least I can do is make saves.
“God bless Woody (Colin ‘Woody’ Wood, Club Ambassador), Spud (manager, Alan Gray), Rob (Coull, club chairman) and all of them.”
Manager Alan Gray said, “We’re delighted to have Fletch and Marty chosen as part of the league’s team of the season. It is well deserved and testament to the work they have put in over the last season.
“Juan Cardona and Farquhar MacRae were also nominated and voted for only narrowly missing out on selection. Well done to both of them.”
