Around the Arran courses - week 15, 2024.
Whiting Bay Golf Club
Sunday April 7, Stableford Sweep: The few hardy souls that turned out for this did well to stay upright on a morning of ferocious winds.
The wind might also have broken the internet as the club discovered it had no access to the Scottish Golf system in the clubhouse so detailed scores will follow later.
The winner though was undoubtedly Stan Rainey who put a fair margin between himself and the nearest challenger with a score of 38 points. That would have been good under any conditions but on this occasion it was exceptional.
