Shiskine Primary School pulled out all the stops to produce a fantastic performance of their Christmas show Lights, Camel, Action.
The two day festival, now in its fourth year, is a testament to the many functional and decorative uses of wood which was demonstrated with a number of exhibitions, demonstrations and the opportunity for visitors to try their hand at the craft.
The show which took place at the Arran High School theatre and dining hall covered a vast array of disciplines including ten sections covering cut flowers, pot plants, decorative arrangements, fruit, vegetables, baking, produce, handcrafts, photographic and a children’s category.
The annual tractor show was a fitting finale to a long list of special events hosted over the summer by the Arran Heritage Museum who, this year, celebrated their 40th anniversary.
Taking the bulk of the trophies was the largest institute, Shiskine, who secured 14 of the 23 trophies in the various categories.
Starting on Thursday with a ceilidh and a quiz with dinner the following day, the gala events all centred on an action packed weekend with a number of events taking place throughout the village on Saturday and Sunday.
