Wet weather failed to dampen spirits at the family hockey fun day at Brodick on Saturday.

Despite torrential rain at times, Arran Junior Hockey Club went ahead with a scaled back event, sensibly cancelling a planned barbecue ahead of the event with participants instead enjoying a welcome hot chocolate in Ormidale Pavilion afterwards.

Younger players enjoyed a training session and a game against each other, while older children took on adults in a fun game.

The barbecue is being rescheduled for another date.
