There will be two more Covid clinics taking place next month for people in eligible groups to receive their latest vaccine.

Appointments are being allocated at clinics in Brodick Health Centre on Friday June 10, and at Arran High School on Saturday June 11.

These clinics will welcome those eligible for their second booster dose, which includes those aged 75-years-and-older and those aged 12-and-older who are immunosuppressed.

People living on Arran who are due a second booster of Covid vaccine should receive a blue envelope with details of their appointment.

If you believe you are eligible for your second booster dose and you do not have an allocated local appointment, please call 01563 826540.

In addition to the scheduled appointments, there will be drop-in opportunities for anyone age 12-or-over who is due a vaccine.

First, second and first booster doses will be available (depending on eligibility) at the following times:

• Friday June 10, Brodick Health Centre, from 9am to midday and 1pm to 3pm

• Saturday June 11, Arran High School, from 1pm to 2.30pm

Families with children aged 5-to-11-years-old who would like to bring them for a first dose of Covid vaccine can do so on a drop-in basis on Saturday June 11, Arran High School, from 9am to midday.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran public health director Lynne McNiven said: ‘Preparations are well underway for our immunisation teams to welcome people to clinics in Brodick and Lamlash next month.

‘Vaccination continues to be our best protection against coronavirus, which can be serious at any age.

‘I would encourage anyone eligible for vaccination to take up the offer to have the number of doses recommended to maintain protection levels against the virus.’

Home visits will be carried out for eligible people living on Arran who are housebound and vaccination teams will also be vaccinating those who live in care homes.
