Shiskine are the proud winners of this year’s Arran Ladies Golf Union (ALGU) Kiscadale matchplay competition which took place at Corrie Golf Club.

The inter-club competition is the highlight of the ALGU calendar and saw teams from Whiting Bay, Machrie, Shiskine, Lamlash and Brodick competing for the trophies over five rounds.

The competition was closely-fought with Shiskine and Brodick both winning five matches, however, Shiskine lost one and Brodick lost two, which left Shiskine beating Brodick by one point.

The win was particularly sweet for Shiskine as Brodick have been the Kiscadale Salver winners for three consecutive years.

The main winners of the season are: Cir Mhor Trophy, Susan Butchard; Island Champion, Ann May; Flockhart Trophy, Jerry Arthur; Drumadoon Plate, Mary Jo Tod.
