The Arran Farmers’ Society annual show dinner went ahead last Saturday at the Kinloch Hotel with strict Covid guidelines being followed.

Everyone who attended the event, which had to be cancelled last year, was asked to take a lateral flow test on the day of the dinner and follow the most current Covid-19 guidelines.

However, that did not stop those attending dressing up and having a great night out.

A spokeswoman for the Arran Show committee said: ‘We were very glad to be able to have our show dinner this year, especially after the last two actual shows having to be cancelled.

‘We worked really hard with our committee, the Kinloch Hotel and our attendees in order to make this event something we were all comfortable with, trying to keep our members safe and support local business.

‘Thank you all for coming to and supporting our annual show dinner. It was so lovely to see everyone, you all looked fabulous!

‘Special thanks to the Kinloch Hotel for hosting us. The food was delicious and the drink went down well too!

‘And to Cameron Wilson aka The Sheep Game for making the trip over to be our guest speaker – Cammy’s the name, sheep’s the game.’
