The December meeting of the Shiskine Women’s Institute was held in the golf clubhouse and was attended by 21 ladies including three visitors.
A lively games night kept everyone entertained while they enjoyed a beautiful festive supper.
This month’s competition, a homemade Christmas table decoration, was won by Angela Cassels, second was Jessie Hutton.
The exhibition, best-wrapped Christmas parcel, was won by Judith Porter and second was Kate Henderson. The raffle prize was won by Wilma Robertson.
A great total of £80 was raised for CHAS from the sale of the Christmas parcels.
The next meeting will be held in Shiskine Village Hall on Wednesday January 5 at 7.30pm when we will be having a team quiz night.
The competition will be three canapes and the exhibition, a theatre programme.
The SWI Shiskine Children’s Christmas Party will be held in Shiskine Village Hall on Friday December 24 from 3pm to 5pm.
We have had word that a very special visitor hopes to join us before setting off on his big Christmas delivery round!
