The Arran Saltire Society has made a welcome return and will host its first meeting of the season next week.
Scheduled for Wednesday November 24, at the Ormidale Pavilion in Brodick at 7.30pm, the subject of the talk by John Andrews will be Talwin Morris and the Glasgow Style.
Morris, who moved to Glasgow in 1893, worked for Blackies, the famous publishers, and is today known mostly for his book designs during the arts and crafts era.
Mr Andrews has amassed an impressive collection of books with covers designed by Talwin Morris and he will bring some of them with him as part of his talk.
The Arran branch of the Saltire Society aims to promote and celebrate the culture and heritage of Scotland.
Its meetings are non-political and are open to all. Anyone with an interest in the Arran Saltire Society, or the talk by Mr Andrews, is invited to attend the meeting.
