Established dog handlers on Arran, as well as some new faces, took part in the island’s second dog trial after an extended break of more than a year as a result of Covid.

The trial took place at Glenkiln Farm by kind permission of Kenny Bone who joined the other handlers to welcome Stuart McMaster and Clair Anderson to Arran trialling.

Liz Robertson judged eight dogs with the results as follows: 1 Iain McConnell with Joe 94 points; 2 Wullie Stevenson with Arran McLeod, 85 points; 3 Wullie Stevenson with Arran Mac-kay 78 points, owned by Mrs Eli Bone; 4 Mathew McNeish with Pip 68 points.

Another trial is due to be held in January next year. Everyone is welcome to join the group.
