A team of 30 from Ardagh Glass Packaging in Irvine will be visiting Arran tomorrow (Saturday) to climb Goatfell or cycle around the island in aid of the Crosshouse Children’s Fund.

The Arran fundraiser is one of the events organised to mark the centenary year of the firm and a generous £2,000 has already been pledged. Ardagh has agreed to match the final amount raised.

The 56-mile cycle and 3.5-mile climb are both expected to take five to six hours. If you see them, please give them an encouraging wave.

Funds raised will go towards improvements at Rainbow House – an assessment, diagnosis and treatment centre for children in Ayrshire and Arran with concerns regarding development.
