The final trail race in a trio of three new forest trails organised by Arran Runners will take place on Sunday at Whiting Bay.
The race will take runners to one of the most iconic beauty spots of Arran, Glenashdale Falls, and along the forest roads and footpaths above Whiting Bay, all of which offer spectacular elevated views over the surrounding area and Holy Isle.
The Whiting Bay Forest Trail Race will start at 2.30pm on Sunday, starting at the path to Glenashdale Falls and ending at Montrose Terrace.
Covering five miles in total, with only about half a mile on tarmac, the Whiting Bay race and its predecessors, the Brodick to Glencloy race and the Lamlash Forest Trail race, are all held under the auspices of Scottish Athletics and follow all Scottish government and Scottish Athletics Covid guidelines.
