MACLENNAN – Marian, (Brodick, formerly Ayr) Peacefully at Montrose House on Saturday 4th September 2021. Loving, adored mother to John, Patricia and Caroline (Logan) and treasured grandmother to Louise, Ian, Alexander and Ishbel. The family would very much like to thank the Medics, Paramedics and Carers involved in our mothers care over the years. Will be missed by all. Private funeral. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers are welcome and should be sent to Arran Hospital Supporters League, c/o Jim Arnold, Auchencrannog, Whiting Bay, KA27 8FF.
McKenna – Maureen. Maureen passed away peacefully in Montrose House on 12th August. Mum spent the last few years of her life in Montrose House and words are simply not enough to express the gratitude I feel to everyone involved in her care, Morven and her team, one and all, went all out to make that her home and the care she received there was exemplary throughout – Arran is so fortunate to have this facility. Thanks to the social work team, the doctors and district nurses who attended daily to ensure Mum was kept comfortable to the end. Thanks also to David and Clair Hendry, to Co-operative Funeralcare in Irvine and to Joanne Adrain, celebrant who all contributed to the private family cremation at Holmsford Bridge.
Celebration of Life
PETERS – Anne, nee Bannatyne. Sadly we lost Anne to cancer in January this year. Due to Covid restrictions very few could attend her funeral. Therefore a celebration of Anne’s life will be held in her childhood garden at Holmlea, Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran on the 18th September 2021 at 11.30pm. All welcome. Funeral attire not required, in fact the brighter the better.
