Children enjoying their school summer holidays had the chance to let off some steam at a mini sports day held last Friday by Arran Library.

The event is one of a series being held by the library in Brodick and, despite overcast skies, it stayed dry for the sports day, held outside the library.

Children from five to 12 enjoyed a series of races and games under the watchful eye of library assistant Nickey Summer and her helpers.
