Eight early years youngsters, four girls and four boys, experienced their first graduation ceremony this week when Brodick Nursery staff held a private graduation ceremony for the children who will be leaving to start primary school.
The nursery had hoped to hold a more formal ceremony with parents and teachers, however, following the latest guidance from the Care Inspectorate, this was not possible.
Over the last few weeks the children have been visiting Brodick primary as part of a transition programme which will assist pupils with their move to the school at the start of the term in August.
The eight boys and girls will continue their nursery education with their friends for just a few more days at a mini sports day and teddy bears’ picnic, before the final end of term leavers party which takes place on Tuesday June 22.
