Jenni Turnbull has retired from the Arran Medical Group after 12 years at the practice.

Jenni, who was latterly the business and dispensary manager, was given a socially distanced send off by doctors, nurses and colleagues at Shiskine Health Centre last week.

Prior to joining the medical group Jenni spent 17 years at the Arran Banner where she started in 1988 taking adverts and undertaking general office work as well as typesetting the paper, as was the practice then.

However, she was soon flying in military helicopters and being rescued from the bottom of a cliff by the Arran Coastguard – all in the name of journalism.

Jenni, a keen golfer, is planning to spend more time on Shiskine golf course near her home on the island.
