Kilmory and Kildonan Senior Citizen Association was yesterday (Thursday) awarded £3,470 from The National Lottery community fund in the May handouts.

The group will use the funding to bring older people from the communities of Kildonan and Kilmory together for a summer outing and Christmas party. The project will be open to everyone in the area over the age of 60 and addresses rural isolation.

The community fund, over the next six months, will focus its National Lottery funding in Scotland on those projects that supporting organisations and communities to respond to the challenge of COVID-19.
