A hardy group of friends and members met for the annual Boxing Day meeting at the Blackwaterfoot Bowls Club. The weather was against us but the company was good.

After surveying the weather from the comfort of the pavilion, and being reinforced with tea and coffee and sundry other treats, it was decided to try to play.

Play started although the conditions were far from perfect, but after four ends had been played it was decided to retreat to the pavilion for more refreshments!

Although very little play took place it was judged to have been a successful afternoon, and due to the all-weather carpet it was possible to play, regrettably the cold was the eventual enemy.
