Brodick Nursery pupils performed their annual Nativity play at Brodick Hall last week with an endearing performance attended by Brodick Primary pupils, as well as parents and grandparents and guests from Glen Estate.

The play featured the traditional scenes of Jesus in the manger but with a twist in the tale, and various musical interludes, that told the story of a star which could not shine.

The songs were performed with great gusto, accompanied by dancing and hand movements, and their repertoire also featured a Gaelic song that the pupils had learned during Gaelic lessons.

Following a very successful performance – without a single youngster getting stage-fright – a huge Christmas hamper and a number of raffle prizes were presented to the winners.
