Blackwaterfoot Bowling Club held their annual general meeting on Thursday November 21 at the Blackwaterfoot Lodge.

The AGM was well attended and members were able to hear from the committee about the season past. It had been successful as there had been many visitors giving a welcome boost to the revenue stream. Although the club is small it is lively and rinks matches are well attended. The only island-wide success was in winning the Federation Triples trophy.

The members raised a number of points about the management of the club and the committee are addressing these.

The new committee were elected and all the reports were passed unanimously. The members were shown a new publicity leaflet which has been printed and was well received, plans to get it distributed were outlined.

The meeting closed after an hour and the company moved on to dinner, the meal was agreed to have been delicious and our thanks go to David and Ann for this and the warm welcome we received, we especially enjoyed the open fires which had been lit throughout the building.

After dinner the club trophies were presented and a raffle was held to boost club funds. Overall a highly successful evening.
