Brodick Castle has gone all out this festive season and will be celebrating with a special holiday event, Christmas at the Castle, in epic and grand style.

Starting from today (Friday), all the way through to Sunday December 22, visitors are invited to experience Brodick Castle as you’ve never seen it before.

Holiday decorations with music and activities can be found throughout the castle, creating a fantastic Christmas experience for the whole family. Also, as part of their Christmas decorations, several island businesses and organisations are taking part in the event and will be decorating their own tree in various rooms around the castle. Beyond their elaborate Christmas decorations, there will also be a host of several fun activities for visitors to enjoy.

In the drawing room cherished memories can be created with a Christmas photo backdrop that is ideal for creating that perfect Christmas family photograph. There will also be an Elf scavenger hunt where children, and adults, can try and find all the cheeky elves hiding around the castle.

Continuing with the theme of festive surprise and wonder, a number of special Christmas mystery boxes will stimulate the senses and provide some good-natured family fun. Children can also take advantage of the North Pole postbox where they can write and post their letters directly to Santa.

In addition to these, and other surprises, the well-loved historical tours will also take on the festive theme with Christmas themed historical tours of the castle that feature stories from the families that have called Brodick Castle their home.

And what’s even better? All of these activities are included for free with normal admission charges of £9.50/child, £13.50/adult, £35/family – a great way to kick off the holiday season. You can also do some Christmas shopping in the fully stocked gift shop or enjoy some special festive treats in the Woodland Café. There’s no need to book in advance, you can just turn up on the day.
