A Lochranza woman has written a new book about her childhood growing up on Arran.
The book titled, Magical Memories of an Idyllic Island, has been penned by Fiona Kerr Fraser and is due to be published at the end of the month.
Fiona told the Banner: ‘The book describes my wonderful childhood at Thunderguy near the little village of Pirnmill. It contains interesting anecdotes about the people living on Arran in the 1940s and 50s. There are also captivating stories about some of our Scottish heroes, and some lesser known facts about them. I feel my book would be of great interest to the people of Arran.’
