With less than two weeks to nominate your favorite rural business or local hero, the Scottish Rural Awards are inviting people to make their nominations before the deadline is reached on Monday November 4.

The Scottish Rural Awards, partnered by Scottish Field magazine and the Scottish Countryside Alliance, celebrate the true industry, innovation, dedication and community spirit of those who live and work in the countryside.

The Scottish Rural Awards celebrates the triumphs of businesses, organisations and individuals as well as highlighting the difficulties which they are often faced with in order to thrive. Ultimately, the Scottish Rural Awards honours those whose work helps to create the beautiful fabric that is Scotland’s countryside.

Judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts, the Scottish Rural Awards is a rigorous multi-stage process, including pre-scoring by the awards team, where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide a shortlist of finalists in each category. Judges may then visit finalists before further reviewing and evaluating to decide the winning entries.

The partnership between Scottish Field magazine and the Scottish Countryside Alliance which brings the Scottish Rural Awards to the national stage is now in its sixth year, with a set of 14 categories championing the rural businesses and unsung community heroes of Scotland.

Nominations can be made in the various categories at and the winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony and gala dinner on Thursday April 2 at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
