West of Scotland Cup

Arran AFC enjoyed another convincing victory with a 8-1 win against Eastend Star in the third round of the West of Scotland Cup held at Stepford Football Centre in Glasgow last Sunday.

The top scorers were Ryan Armstrong and Johnny Sloss who both scored a brace while Donny Park, Archie McNicol, Grant Adamson and Joel Small each scored for the Arran visitors. Sean Higgins was nominated as man of the match.

A spokesman from the club said: ‘ We would just like to say a special thanks to those who turned up to support the Arran boys away from home today. Your support was hugely encouraging and very much appreciated by all the team.’

The next fixture for Arran will be the first round of the Go Vending Cup which will take place tomorrow (Sunday) at the Kilwinning Sports Club when Arran faces Glencairn on the 4G pitch with a 1pm kick off.
