The Scottish government is seeking views on a local discretionary transient visitor levy, or tourist tax.
The consultation is aimed at informing government on the wider issues and concerns when developing the legislation which will give local authorities the power to apply a visitor levy.
The move is something that VisitArran is very concerned about and the Scottish Tourism Alliance is urging all businesses who benefit from tourism activity to share their views by participating in the online survey.
Views obtained through the consultation, which will run until Monday December 2 this year, will be used to help shape the draft bill provisions. The survey can be found at gov.scot and by selecting consultations.
