Brodick Castle is to stay open for two months longer than usual. In a first for the castle, gardens and country park the venue is going to remain open until December 22.
Operations manager Jared Bowers said: ‘It is very exciting as it’s a first at the property from what I understand. There are a couple of reasons for this, one is that we’ve had a fantastic season so far with increased visitor numbers and would like to extend our normal closing date of October 31.
‘Arran is steadily becoming a year round destination and we are interested in testing the waters in the shoulder season to see what interest there would be in attracting visitors to the property. All attractions will remain open during this time, including the Isle be Wild adventure playpark.
‘Another reason is that we have a couple of special Christmas events planned, the main one being a month long event that will run from November 22 to 22nd December 22 where we will decorate the interior of the castle. We hope that this will entice more visitors to the castle during this time and we look forward to seeing everyone this autumn.’
