Shiskine 2 Northend 1

Arran Dairies League

Shiskine secured their first win of the season in the final fixture of the Arran Dairies League against Northend.

Donald Mulholland and Callan Taylor each scored a goal to ensure that the team did not end their season without a single point on the league table.

It has been a difficult season for Shiskine who have struggled for players, on occasion drafting in players from other villages to fulfil fixtures. In the other scheduled game of the evening, between Brodick and Southend, player shortages also plagued Brodick who had to cancel the game.

The next event on the fixtures list will be the preliminary game of the Copperwheats Knockout Cup which will take place on Monday August 12 between Southend and Lamlash. The semi finals will take place on Monday August 19 and the final on Saturday August 24.
