The featured artist at the Arran Library for the month of August will be Amanda Grindall.

Amanda’s designs are inspired by the natural wonders that catch her attention whilst out and about on Arran: pebbles on the beach or just under the tide; lichen clinging to a rock; the intricate forms and colours of fungus on a tree; the vibrancy and striking shapes of ferns; patterns formed in the sand; and many other little treasurers.

Using her own digital photographs these moments shape a small, slowly evolving, range of scarves, pictures, greetings cards and home furnishings.
