The Arran Heritage Museum at Rosaburn, Brodick, always has a number of special events days each summer, and by far the most popular is the Children’s Fun Day, which this year is tomorrow (Sunday) from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
This annual island event is guaranteed to provide children with an afternoon of fun and games, while being entertained and educated at the same time.
The whole afternoon is geared to providing fun, and it’s free to children up to the age of 12 if accompanied by an adult. A variety of traditional games will be on offer. A model train layout will be working. There will be also be storytelling sessions, kids tombola, horse-shoe throwing, demonstrations of spinning and weaving and felting.
Other treats include cup cake decorating, a chocolate fountain, and candy floss. The Arran Pipe Band will be in attendance, and other musicians will entertain throughout the afternoon.
There is plenty for the grown ups to do too with many new and upgraded indoor and outdoor displays to see. Finally of course the famed Café Rosaburn will be selling meals, teas and coffees and cakes all afternoon.
