Drivers have been warning that there will be temporary road closure at the sound end of the island next week to allow road resurfacing.
There will be daily road closures from Monday June 3 to Friday June 7 between 9.15am and 6pm.
The first will be from Clachaig Farm to Clachaig Cottage, Lagg on Monday and Tuesday. The second will be from The Lagg Hotel to the 30 mph speed limit signs, east side of Kilmory from Wednesday to Friday.
A North Ayrshire Council roads official said: ‘A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been promoted on the above areas of Arran by reason of carriageway resurfacing works which are to be carried out on or near the public highway.
‘Due to the nature of these works and existing road widths, legislation requires that in the interest of safety to both the road users and the work force, a restriction of use must be put in place for the duration of the works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.’
