Arran AFC 2 Killie Athletic 3

League Cup group A

Arran finished runners-up in their League Cup group after narrowly going down to the group winners in the final game in Stevenston on Sunday.

With both teams qualified there was nothing at stake and the Arran boys were short of numbers travelling to the away game at Ardeer Stadium with just 11 players. After 20 minutes the visitors went down to 10 men with an injury.

Things went from back to worse at the end of the first half were  3-0 down Arran battled hard in the second half to come back and thanks to goals from  Johnny Sloss and Ryan Armstrong they dragged the score back to 3-2 but just missed out on getting the draw.

Man of the match was the whole team for their performance, with the manager saying that not one of them had let themselves down. Well done to Killie on their victory.
