Arran will be the featured location in an upcoming episode of Escape to the Country which is due to be broadcast on BBC1 on Monday February 25, at 3pm.

The property programme which takes potential house buyers around various rural properties – while offering information on the location and local attractions – will also be available on the BBC iPlayer for 30 days after it has been aired.

In episode 23 of series 19 presenter Jules Hudson visits Arran to house-hunt with a novelist and her husband who are in search of writing inspiration from the Scottish countryside for their £375,000 budget.

While on Arran, Jules discovers the positive benefits of Arran’s marine habitats and the local fishing industry since Scotland’s first ‘No Take Zone’ was introduced.

The show will also feature Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) co-founder Don Macneish and will showcase many of Arran’s iconic locations and attractions.
