Where can you find Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman and even the Ghostbusters all in the one room?

That would have to be at the fundraising event organised by Arran film producer, director and actor Craig Maclachlan in memory of his dad Douglas, who died from cancer last year.

Raising money for Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer Support the fundraising night, held in Loks bar and restaurant in Glasgow, raised  more than £1,200.

The night was attended by close to 100 people, including some Arran locals. Craig had collected a number of prizes for the raffle from businesses on the island making up nearly 30 prizes, and Arran products were the hit of the night. An auction raised more then £600.

The event was fun filled with five films shown from independent filmmakers all over Scotland, live music sets and the cosplayers led by Wonder Woman, Scots actress, model and cosplayer Nicolette McKeown.

Craig said: ‘I would like to say a massive thank you to residents and the businesses of Arran, they really came through for us, supported us and helped make our fundraiser as good as it was. People loved the Arran connection and it’ll attract a few new faces to the island that’s for sure.’
