Here is the proud moment Arran jockey Nicola Currie is handed the trophy after being named Great British Racing Lady Jockey of the Year.
As reported in last week’s Banner, Nicola lifted the award at the Stobart Lesters awards in London just days after riding her 100th winner which lets her turn professional. She was the most successful lady jockey in the UK this year with 45 wins during the Flat Championship.
Nicola enjoyed Christmas with her family in Shiskine before heading back to Lambourn in Berkshire, where she is based, to get back in the saddle for what promises to be a very busy 2019.
