Bowlers from several island clubs gathered at Blackwaterfoot Bowling Club for the traditional Boxing Day rinks games.

With 14 players attending the group split and enjoyed three matches and although the occasion was not serious, some excellent bowls were played.

With fairly cold weather a welcome break indoors was appreciated by all, especially with the small feast that was laid out before them, and players returned to the matches feeling warmed up and refreshed.

Following the games prizes in the form of chocolate oranges were awarded and a toast was made to the new year and to the 2019 Boxing Day bowls event.
