Arran runners take to the streets of Glasgow

Around 50 runners from Arran took part in the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow last weekend.

The biggest team from the island taking part were the 35 10k participants and two half marathon runners from Team Auchrannie made up of employees as well as family and friends. They ave already raised more than £5,000 for Auchrannie’s 2018/19 charity of choice, Marie Curie, with the total still rising.

There were also a number of entrants from Arran’s two running groups, the Brodick based Arran Pace Makers and the Whiting Bay jogscotland group taking part in the 10k.

The joined around 30,000 runners of all abilities who took to the streets of Glasgow last Sunday in the two events.
