There Will be Blood (USA 2007, Cert 15, 158 mins)

Set at the turn of the 20th century, Daniel Plainview (Day-Lewis) and his son are silver miners turned oil men who come into conflict with a young preacher which takes them into a scary, darkly comic journey into madness.
