A  full scale search was launched for a father and son who had become lost walking in the North Glen Sannox area.

The Arran Mountain Rescue Team were called out at around 5pm last Thursday to search for the missing pair. Due to their unknown location and the size of the area they could possibly be in, a full scale search commenced utilising as many team members as possible, including the team search dogs.

Thankfully, after an hour or so the duo reported reaching a road to which the team were able to identify as being Dougarie/Iorsa, quite a fair distance away from their start point. They were then located by police and taken to safety.
