Lamlash is all set for Santa’s Sparkle this weekend.
The finishing touches to all the preparations have all been made for the Christmas extravaganza today (Saturday). The programme has now been finalised and a whole host of activities for the young and the not so young will be available throughout the day.
The day kicks off with the arrival of Santa at the pier at 12noon followed by the traditional parade along the main street with Santa atop the Mogabout.
An afternoon of music and entertainment kicks off with the Soul Choir with events spread across the marquee, Lamlash church hall and the outdoor events area including the Christmas market
This year will see the return of the colour run, so popular at last year’s event together with a whole host of other activies to keep the children amuzed including, of course Santa’s grotto.
Events this year will conclude with the community Christmas tree lighting and fireworks at 6pm and a big finale with the Taiko Drummers performing.
There will be no ceilidh or disco this year, as in previous years, and the Banner apologies for suggesting otherwise in last week’s edition.
