The netball team at Arran High School have been celebrating some recent success on the mainland.
They have reached third spot in the North Ayrshire Active Schools Netball League after the latest round of matches last week, with star player, Freya McNicol, being named player of the match in all three games,
The latest fixtures held on Thursday November 9, saw seven secondary schools from across North Ayrshire competing in the matches, with the second and final round of matches still to take place in May next year.
Arran celebrated a 5-2 victory over St Matthew’s Academy A and a draw with Largs B team, the only suffered a single narrow defeat to Garnock Community College 7-5, who sit top of the league.
Arran girls were accompanied on the trip by coach Ann Beveridge who takes the netball after school club. She congratulated the girls on their accomplishment so far and encouraged any secondary girls who were interested in netball come along to the weekly meeting at 3.45pm on a Thursday.
