An award-winning guidebooks publisher is bringing out a new guidebook about the Arran Coastal Way in next January.

The Arran Coastal Way was recognised as one of Scotland’s Great Trails earlier this year. It runs around the coast for 65 miles (105 km) and the walking varies from easy coastal paths and cycle track to rugged beach-walking with some boulder-hopping.

The new guidebook has been published in a handy format. Lavishly illustrated with 125 colour photos, it is printed on rainproof paper with detailed mapping. It contains all you need to plan and enjoy your holiday: a detailed route descriptions, including all the recently added route options; 10 pages with mapping of the entire route at 1:55,000; practical information about public transport and travel; geology, whisky-making, history and wildlife.

It has been written by Jacquetta Megarry, who is a professional author and has wri1en or co-authored 16 guidebooksfor Rucksack Readers. She visited Arran three times this year while researching the guidebook.
